On Global Youth Service Day, the Girl Scouts of Suncoast Florida will be hosting a Magical Afternoon of Conversations creating ideas and topics to inspire and energize everyone to think and be healthy. Our dream is to imagine a Healthy Sarasota everywhere, in our parks, at home, in school or college, in community, and at work. It all starts with us being ourselves, dreaming big and knowing we can make a difference.
It will be an awesome afternoon unlike anything you've ever experienced before. It will feel magical because we know that we're doing something that matters to help transform our community. Come join new and old friends and all the people there who care just as much as you do about being healthy and happy.
The official program starts at NOON...so come earlyif you can, to grab some FREE lunch, get your name tag with extra time to get settled. If you're late, that's ok too, you'll be welcome anytime. We just don't want you to miss out on any of the fun!
We expect everything to be done before 5:00 p.m.
Register now for this FREE event. We need to plan early for everyone who will be coming. You can invite all your friends by sending this link on Facebook. Everyone age 10 and over is welcome. And if you're an adult, we're asking that you invite someone younger than you (age 10 to 21) because we are co-creating for the next generation and we wants lots of kids, teens and young adults showing what happens when young people take the lead on something that can change a village, a community and the world.

A little bit of background:
This story began when a group of 5 girls decided to get together to promote health and wellness in the community of Sarasota. Our main goal is to reduce and prevent youth obesity and to also promote a "holistic" lifestyle to improve self-esteem, offer education related to exercise and healthy eating and most important of all, recognizing that happiness and health go hand in hand.
HOPE stands for Holistic Obesity Prevention Endeavor.
